Nisha dreams of becoming a doctor

Nisha Chauhan is a 15 year old who hails from the village of Godhana. Her father, Sushil Chauhan, is a farmer and her mother, Neelam, is a house wife. Both her parents are educated – her father has studied upto grade 12, and her mother till grade 10. She has four siblings- three sisters and one brother. They live in a house which has electricity, water and sanitation facilities.

Nisha is in grade 9 at the school run by PPES. She is a smart and pretty girl who loves to read story books in her free time, and often visits the school library. She lives in Godna with her maternal aunt. She was sent there to help her aunt, who lives alone with her small children. When she finishes school, Nisha would like to study to become a doctor.
