Jyoti – today’s student, tomorrow’s teacher

Jyoti is a 16 year old girl from the town of Karanpur. Her father, Ramchandra, is a driver, and her mother, Kela is a housewife. She has two brothers and two sisters who all live in a three room house; Jyoti ‘s family has a toilet, a hand pump for water and electricity.

Jyoti enjoys eating laddoos, loves playing cricket and is an enthusiastic student in her sewing class as well. In the future, Jyoti wants to be a teacher someday and equip other children with what she has gained!
