Aarti is growing into a more confident person

Fourteen year old Aarti lives in Veerpur and studies in grade 7 at the school run by Pardada Pardadi in Anoopshahar, India.

Her father, Prem Singh, is a laborer and her mother, Vinta, is a housewife. She has one sister and three brothers. Her favourite subjects  is English and when she grows up she wants to become a teacher.

Aarti will now have one spoken English class and one computer education class a week for an entire year. She will also attend a few personality development workshops. All this will together give her confidence, and help her to hold her own in the outside world.
