Sapna is full of joy
posted April 11, 2013
Sapna is 11 years old and lives in Bardpura, a town in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. She is in the seventh grade at the Pardada Pardadi Inter College. Her father, Teajveer, is a driver, and her mother, Kamlesh, is a house wife. Sapna has one sister and one brother.
Pardada Pardadi (PPES) provides free education and school meals for children like Dimpal as incentive to keep them in school and out of child labor. Dimpal’s parents are inclined to send her to school because she receives the daily lunches that you fund for her. Without this addition to her education, Dimpal and students in her situation would more likely work instead of attend school.
Thank you so much, Nicola, for providing PPES with the money to purchase school uniforms for Sapna. Sapna’s favorite subject is English and she wants to become a computer teacher when she grows up. Thank you again!

Dimpal wants to be a designer
posted February 6, 2013
Dimpal is a 16 year old student at the Pardada Pardadi inter college in Anupshahr, India. She is in the seventh grade and lives with her family in the countryside. Dimpal’s father is a farmer while her mother stays at home to take care of Dimpal and her two siblings. Families that have very little income to cover basic necessities often send their children to work instead of to school so they can support their family.
Pardada Pardadi provides free education and school meals for children like Dimpal as incentive to keep them in school and out of child labor. Dimpal’s parents are inclined to send her to school because she receives the daily lunches that you fund for her. Without this addition to her education, Dimpal and students in her situation would more likely work instead of attend school.
Thanks to your donations, Gaurav, Venkateswara, Rhea, Manish, Sivan, and Partha, Dimpal receives a balanced meal every day at school. Dimpal loves to draw and hopes to one day be a designer. Without your help, her dreams would be clouded by more prevalent issues like hunger and education. Thanks again for your support.

Rajesh can train for a career
posted January 24, 2013
Rajesh is 18 years old and lives in Faajpura, India. Her father is a farmer and her mother stays at home to take care of Rajeshs five siblings. Rajesh did not want to submit to the societal norms of rural India that expect women to stay at home and house keep.
Luckily, Pardada Pardadi acts as an outlet for women with such determination. This organization offers vocational training and education for women seeking work instead of marriage.
With your support, Erica, Pardada Pardadi can provide Rajesh with six months of vocational training. Despite Rajeshs high school education, she would have struggled immensely without additional training. Thank you, Erica, for supporting Rajesh in her mission to better her life.

posted January 24, 2013
Thirteen year old Deepjyoti* studies in Grade 7 at Pardada Pardadi intercollege in India. Her father is a laborer and her mother is a housewife. Deepjyoti has one brother and one sister. Though their family is not large, it is hard for Deepjyoti’s father to support an entire family on his one salary.

Pardada Pardadi provides bikes for some of their students with far commutes. Deepjyoti’s favorite subject is English and when she grows up she wants to become a doctor so she can help people for a living.
Since the distance is long, Deepjyoti would have been forced to drop out of school if not for your donation of a bicycle. Now, Deepjyoti can cycle to school every day without worries of not having money for a bus or gas for a scooter.Thank you, Iona and Radu, for ensuring that Deepjyoti can continue her education with Pardada Pardadi.
