Arti is currently in Class 7 in the Pardada Pardadi School. She comes from the village of Jirauli, India, and both of her parents are illiterate. Being an extremely intelligent girl, Arti’s favorite subject is Hindi, but she loves to play cricket too. Arti’s future plan is to become a great teacher in the Pardada Pardadai School.

Priya Loves Pardada Pardadi School!
Dear Rob, James, Julie, Bill and Colleen, Bill, Ray and Lael, Josephine, Susie, and Kenneth,

Priya comes from Neta Nagar, India, where her father and mother, Shri ram and Omvait, are both farmers.

Fortunately, both of Priya’s parents are literate and value her education in Pardada Pardadi. Priya also has two brothers and four sisters; they all live in two rooms in her house.

Her parents want their children to be educated. Priya is in Class 6 while one of her older sisters is in class 8. Happily, her brothers are getting an education too.

Priya is a very serious girl, her favorite subject is English, and she also loves to play carrom board. Priya likes Pardada Pardadi School very much because it gives her food, clothes, books; with this education she hopes to become a good school teacher.

Priya is so thankful for your donations Rob (3 months!), James (2 months!), Julie, Bill and Collen, Bill, Ray and Lael, Josephine, Susie, and Kenneth. She will now be supported for one full year of school, with meals, uniforms, books and stationary!

Priti Loves School!

Dear Jaime,

Priti is in the fourth grade; she lives in Anoopshahr with her family. She comes from a desperately poor family.

Her house is situated in a slum area on the outskirts of Anoopshahar. It is poorly constructed, with a straw roof, no proper floor, and is sparsely furnished.

Though only in the fourth grade, Priti has high hopes for the future. She already knows she wants to teach.

Pooja’s New Uniform Brightens Her Smile!

Dear Terry,

Pooja is a 7th grader in Khalour; she has been attending Pardada Pardidi since 2009.   Her mother passed away when she was only 8 years old. She misses her mother a lot. Her father is a taxi driver. Pooja has four siblings and she is the youngest one in her family.

Her favorite subject is I.T. and she hopes to teach the subject in her own village.

Sheetal is currently in Class 6B at Pardada Pardadi. Her father is a farmer and her mother is a laborer in the village of Bachikhera, India.

Sheetal is an extremely intelligent girl and her favorite subject is English. Since her parents are both illiterate, they value her education at Pardada Pardadi. Furthermore, she wants higher education, and then after that she wants to become a good teacher. In addition, her favorite game is called Kho-Kho, and it is mentioned around school that she is a very good player.

Dear Janet,

Poonam is a 6th grader. She is one of the most discipline students at Pardada Pardadi School, and expects others to be the same. She is very sincere and punctual. Poonam joined the school in 2008,and has developed a great interest in drawing. She would like to be a painter when she is all grown up. Her father is a farmer and he is the only source of income; he works hard to support the family of eight.

Jhilmil is a 6th grader at Pardada Pardadi. She is from Anoopshahr, India, where many people do not have access to basic amenities like 3 meals a day, electricity or safe drinking water.

Jhilmil is a highly ambitious girl, and she likes coming to school to learn new things. Her favorite subject is Home Science, as she wants to become a Home Science teacher! She also like to play badminton in her spare time.
